Here in Wanganui we have an art organization called OPEN STUDIOS. Once a year all the art studios who have joined take part in a yearly exhibition.
Each entrant exhibits mainly at their own studios and the public are invited to tour the studios. This takes part over two weekends. We pay a fee and they do all the promoting through newspapers, flyers, etc. Fortunately here at Nolan's house we have a fairly large studio separate from the house.

Previously I have advertised in the local newspapers and distributed flyers and posters wherever I'm allowed to.

Thanks for that Dennis. I am a bit outside of the artist central, but hoping to get back into sharing the knowledge that you Clark Boys have so selflessly shared. Once our residency is sorted I'll be able to exhibit and teach again.
I appreciate the hints and tips and will be revisiting Nolan's course 'How To Turn Your Hobby Into A Business'. Excellent course for anyone who has given thought to promoting and selling their art.

Fantastic art work and successful endeavor, congratulations. It is lovely to see it presented as an exhibition, just imagining how much fun it was.
