I think the eye needs more highlight to give it some life, and the shading on the neck needs to be blended for a bit smoother transition. Nice detailing of the bridle. Nicely done.

I don't know how to complete the exercise on vanishing points with the material in the pdf file. The house is not above the box

Good job.
Val gives some good points. Also try rubbing the pencil lines with small piece of rag on your finger to blend, smooths it out.

Hi Labtec, the house is at an angle, you are looking at the corner. You need to find your horizon line (eye level), and then draw in a line (vertical) for the corner of the house. I remember that is where I started with it.
I'll have to go and refresh myself with the manual as I don't want to send you down the wrong path. It's been a few years since I looked at that lesson. A refresher would probably do me good!

just expand on what you mean by "The house is not above the box". Maybe also let me know what page in the manual you are on so I can check up for you please

what you want to do is start from the corner of the building as that has already been drawing onto the large box. The two vanishing points have also been provided. So start at the top where the corner of the building meets the outside box and connect it to the two vanishing points. That gives you the tops of the roof.
If you look on the photo to find the "line" that is horizontal, which indicates eye level, you will see that it is roughly the top of the wall. What you then do is judge the distances of the rest of the items where they meet the corner and estimate those points above or below the line formed by the top of the wall. Once these marks have been plotted onto the corner vertical line it is simply a matter of connecting them with the correct vanishing point.
In other words you need to estimate a few things in order to be able to connect them to the vanishing point. You can see me doing it in the class video for day 22

Hmmm..good question, Labtec. I'd try charcoal pencils. (but that's an inexperienced opinion, yet sounds logical)

you would use a combination of texture techniques in order to recreate the effect.
In the course you will learn a heap of these techniques

Beautiful drawing Labtec.
You will as Nolan said, learn a heap of techniques as you progress through the course. Carry on and you can always come back to this when you find the technique you're looking for. It's a magical journey, keep going, you're coming on famously.
