My first every attempt st sctrachboard!

This is my first ever attempt at scratchboard! Having seen the others listed on here i am not worthy!

I was going to draw this but i decided to try scratch art... why? I don't know!
A    trembling hand  didn't help!
Though i must admit by the time i got to the bottom shrubbery my scraper was starting to  feel and work more like a pencil, so i guessed i was  getting more comfortable! I really want to do animals but thought i should try lines first!
I wasn't sure how to suggest clouds, so i look at old copperplate style illustrations !
This board was a free sample, i received gold, black and white boards in the sample pack.

    This is great Liz! Especially for a very first go.         You are going to do great in the scratchboard class. Wait until you do the very first cat profile, you will be amazed. I know I was!

Hi, thank you both for your kind comments.
Yes, i need to watch nolan again, i did use his trick of using a black pen to cover mistakes.. getting use to moving the scraper into different angles was  quite tricky..

Gosh! I thought that this was fantastic.  I never tried the Scratchboard lessons at all so don't know much about it but when I saw yours in the gallery I thought "Wow, that's excellent". Great job.
