   Saphirelyn,

I love the color of the sea in your painting.   Nice work!

I think we learn something with every painting we do.

I had a difficult time with the waves even though I think I put the masking fluid on correctly.

Saphirelyn, I really like the colors you used. The masking fluid can be tricky if we don't "paint" with it to form the shapes we need.  It's hard to tell sometimes, too.

Thanks guys, and yes with every painting we learn 'what not to do' and those 'ah ha' moments that tell us we did this or that right.  I look forward to those breakthru moments, especially in WC

  Great job Sapphirelynn    It does take a while mucking about with masking fluid to get the hang of it, I got into a bit of a  :fight:  with it one time....looked like both me and the painting were covered with string art!  :2funny:

There will be lots more breakthrough moments to come .... I love that high!!   :yippee:  :parachute:
Cheers, Val

Lynn, You have made a nice painting although it is a bit darker than mine.  It is absolutely no problem at all. You have just made it closer to sundown with very lovely storm clouds - well done    You have grasped the techniques.

Helen, It always seem a little intimidating to post our pictures when we see others work.  You did a very nice job on your beach painting!

 Helen, if I get my cosmos to post you won't feel too bad at all!  I think you have done a great job on your seaside painting. You have the reflections in the water, the wavetops breaking, great looking sand, and nice colouring. What is not to like? Super job.

I noticing how many of us are  :fight: with our selves because we don't seem to be making the progress we think we should ( or someone taught us we "should"

My oldest kid is a  airline pilot who gives me some very interesting lesions in life.... He told me that most of the time the jumbo jets he flys are off course  They are constantly correcting, 'cause they are either to the right of the course, or to the left, too high or too low.... He says that all that matters is that are headed in the right direction and they do get to exactly where they are supposed to be!  :1hug:

He finishes with, " just like your paintings, Pops" " 'member you telling me that if 'if we're not making mistakes we aren't growing'?."

Smart alack kid :smiley6600: :smiley6600:

It fascinates me how we can see the growth in others , but miss our own!   I am very grateful that you are all here to help me see my growth and that we continue to encourage each other.

Regards
Brian
