Good job Dham - sometimes things turn to custard when I paint along, but you've done great today.

I missed most of today's lesson and jumped in at the end and watched (and painted along) for the last 40 minutes or so.  So I ended up with this simplified and slightly improvised version which I'm not entirely unpleased with  and have to say hubby likes it too..

Have enjoyed these free lessons so much - it's like being put in the right mood for the rest of the week - and I thank you Dennis and Nolan, I'm contemplating joining for the rest of the year...

  I missed tonite's class... I have been working since yesterday...on my son's schoolling/study schedule as well as printing all his subject material for each subject for the entire term.  He is homeschooled and his term starts tomorrow... I finished on his laptop... signed into my email...then when I saw the email from PaintBasket... I realised there was a class...but i was too late already...the class had about half an hour to go  ... unfortunately I missed out, but his schoolwork was major priority... I even lost out on Nolan's class of yesterday...didn't realise there was a class.  Mmm, I need to try and catch all my piglets again and get them into the cage I think... maybe I will start thinking straight and remember when I have a class.  Still trying to catch up on the others though.  Will get there eventually

The two painting that have been posted are inspiring!  Did not even try and paint along today, took notes and enjoyed watching my first LIVE class.  What a joy..

RE; "the Grid"  it did not interfere with any thing you where showing with that camera. ( In fact, I used t at the end to critique the Masters composition .  IT passed!

Wow!  Dham & Erica!  Amazing work, painting along with Dennis!  You are fast painters and even took advantage of the techniques in the lesson.   

I'm a real slow poke when I'm painting, that's probably why I tend to put in too much detail, paint too tight.

If I tried to paint along, I would be missing something Dennis is telling us while busy concentrating on my work.  Last week's lesson was a great help to me that way.

Dennis will be relieved, can  stop and wipe his brow now, eh Brian?

Hi! I enjoyed the class tremendously and I am anxiously awaiting the information on the future classes.  I wasn't able to use my chat box only the right hand side of it was visable but not a problem.  How is Nolan's watercolors comming along?  I have had a hard time pulling myself away from paining in oils, but I found I enjoy both equaly. see ya'll soon.  Mary

I tried to paint along too. It's a real challenge Dennis but i really enjoyed it. The glimpses of the photo you were painting from were really useful. I will have another go when the replay comes out and I can see things like where you put your people and revisit some of the color mixes.
 I like your versions Dham and Erika.
Did anybody see any chat in the chat box? I found I had to re-log in when i refreshed - but most of the sound and video was loud and clear.

 a question:  can one put masking fluid over dried paint with out harming the paint. I can see times when that could be very helpful.

I am in awe at the great paintings that are showing up here.  I love your painting, Karen.   

I didn't see anything in the chat and couldn't put in anything either.  The box at the top wouldn't accept my password, I had to register at the bottom, then go back to the top and sign in only to get a blank screen.  There were a list of names on the right side.  That's all I saw.

Otherwise, everything was perfect.  The grid didn't interfere.  TV and sound were clear.

...lots of work going on behind the scenes.  Nolan deserves a medal!!  Eventually it will all come together.

Brian, yes you can put masking fluid over paint as long as it is dry. That way you can layer.

I had great fun and I see most of you did as well. I'll try to answer as best as I can from the last to the first.

Unfortunately we had problems again  with our Chat Box - sorry about that - we'll get there in the end. Then you will have great presentations. Thank you all for your encouraging comments - we appreciate feed-back. Glad the  grid did not interfere - we sweated about that

Karen, the "photo" is actually another painting I did some time back. My original photo disappeared into cyber space together with 6000 others  Your painting is very well done - considering it was at warp speed

Vangie, Nolan did not have a class yesterday - I think Leana is talking about the replay that came out late because of tech. difficulties.
Erika, your painting is also. "Nice and clean and fresh- La-La-La!" Remember that jingle? Love to have you on the course
DHAM Also a lovely painting with beautiful sky. Just be careful with the horizon - keep it straight! You also lost  the look of a flat sandy beach. All in all, very well done 
C. Yes you may change it to suit yourself - no problem.
