I'm helping Val out this month – Brian (scouserl41)

Post your drawing for June 2018 Challenge here.

1/ Post only one drawing per person. Post only your finished drawing. If you need help, post it in the encourager section.

2/ Do your best to keep your entry as close as possible to the original Challenge photo. Please DO NOT make additions to the subject unless otherwise stated. We try to maintain a fair and equal field for all entries from beginner to advanced.
Feel free to use the subject photos in your own creation BUT place it in the Encourager section, NOT in the challenge. Thank you for your ongoing support of these challenges.

3/ Any SINGLE dry drawing medium may be used....Graphite, Coloured Pencil (lead), Charcoal, or Ink may be used. If it is not specifically listed, DON'T USE IT! If you are unsure, PM me directly.

4/ When posting your entry, please list type of pencils etc. used. Not mandatory, but appreciated as it may help someone with less experience.

5/ HAVE FUN ! Brian.

Am I first AGAIN!
This door incidentally was in Sedalia Missouri, I stumbled across it as we were exploring the Scott Joplin festival there.

It reminded Barbara of Sherlock Homes's 221B Baker Street.

 Bill, nicely done. Your color palette is right on point and you kept your whites clean, not an easy task with colored pencils.
 Patricia, very good job on this project.  Colored pencils are not user-friendly, yet your rendition of Brian’s door turned out just right.

:thankyou:  Maria for your lovely comments and you are so right, coloured pencils are not user friendly but I will keep on practising and hopefully improve as I go along.

:thankyou:  Elizabeth for your sweet comments too.

    A lovely submission Maria.  I have just sent you a private message because I only saw your submission in the Gallery and not in the June Challenge spot and I was worried.  I have just logged in again and was so relieved and happy to see that it is now appearing in the challenge.  :yippee:

Brian's door in colored pencils.
Done on 70lb drawing paper, wax-based colored pencils, tortillons, a Prismacolor colorless blending pencil, lots of elbow grease and unlimited time to spare.
