I painted this piece with Genesis Oils. You heat set these oils to dry them or they never dry. I use the oven to heat set them.

This piece is a Trompe L'oeil meaning "to fool the eye" I did the bricks around the piece with a medium called "stucco" from Liquitex and applied with a sponge. Soooo much fun! Same with the top and bottom but that was applied with a palette knife. This was a class run by Mary Gibilisco.
I had a ball doing this piece. I invite comments or critiques.

Just love your sense of adventure with art, Robynann.  Nice work.  Love the archway.  Nice brick-like effect.
