On this 100th anniversary of the ending of World War I, I sketched this humble poppy in watercolor pencil on hemp paper as a tribute and thank you to all those veterans and first responders who put their lives on the line for us every day.

too many people lost their lives. Too many resources destroyed. War is so useless :'(
