Something that happened many years ago in a Game Reserve in South Africa. Taken through the windshield of my vehicle.

That Rhino is huge!  Why would anyone get out of their car, my goodness! Thanks for sharing Dennis, very interesting video.

Thanks for the video Dennis. I can never understand how people can be so careless as to under estimate wild animals. The rhino is so fast despite its size. My husband and then teenage daughter, went on an early morning walk in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve with a Game Ranger who had just told them that if they came upon a Rhino, they were to hide behind the first tree they could find because the Rhino's eyesight is poor. His words were hardly out of his mouth when this huge Rhino appeared from nowhere. They immediately jumped into action and did what they were told to do, needless to say, that it was the first and last time my daughter ever went on a game walk. She got back to camp and just cried and cried.  Lesson learned!!!

What a thrilling video - and what a stupid person. Glad no one was injured. Dang - that’s one huge Rhino!!!
Cheers,
Sharon

On another occasion in another Game Reserve I was traveling slowly looking out for animals. Without warning a rhino came charging at full speed out of the thick bush to the left. He missed the front of my car by no more than 3 meters. He veered of in a cloud of dust down the road. I don't know who got the biggest fright - him or me  :2funny:

Exciting for sure!  I’d be terrified to have an encounter with a wild rhino.
