This is another commission painting. Another rain forest based on my first one but with different elements.  It’s rather big: 2 meters by 1,60 meters. I started with acrylics, switched to oil like the customer wished.
I don’t like the sky somehow, looks patchy. Love to get some ideas from you to make it better.
I like the bright colours of the naive painting style. Birds and animals are yet to be finished.

Loving it so far :heeha:
Personally I would leave the patchy sky holes as that is what I see if I look up through the trees:

Thank you Emma Lee! The oils make the colours so bright!
Thank you Dennis!  :D
Wow, thanks for your support Nolan,  :smitten: the Sky in your photo almost has the same colour! In fact I think I used „sky blue“ as colour for the sky.
Thank you for your comment, Val!

Thank you Mary Lou.
I had paused with this painting for a while since I was out of creative ideas to finish this.
Now, I added some features. I think it’s 95% finished now.
Please do tell me your opinion to this. Anything else to add? Remove?

Gita

I like the whimsy of it and the unusual perspective.

Thank you Mea. The customer had some ideas while creating this. He likes it till now.
It will hang in a spacious loft like office room, which is furnished in a very modern manner. The room has otherwise subdued colours so that this picture will be highlighting the room. Shall post it  when it’s on the wall.

It’s not easy for me to say when this painting is finished, really.
I shall modify the birds.... maybe a bit of a realism to it.

Since this is a huge canvas ( 200 x 160 cm), there is enough painting space to modify and change.

Thank you Philmoore! If is indeed high praise!
Here are the birds.. they are still fairy tale like...have to wait for the layer to dry.. will add some whites to it for contrast.

Thank you so much Patricia.  :D
Actually, I would like to add some shadows or darken up some areas to give more distance. Don’t know exactly at present in which area?
Maybe on both sides?
Nolan, Dennis, would be greatful to get an opinion to where to darken.

generally you darken in the foreground and lighten into the distance in order to get a looking in effect.
What you can do here is darken the ground in the foreground between the leaves, etc. O0
