Thank you Nolan, Neil, Gita and Patricia! I was worried I over did it with all those tiny hairs. I didn’t want him to look wirey.
Patricia-I agree it needs some grounding but the thing he’s laying on is at an odd angle and I didn’t think I should add it to the painting. The light is coming from front right, so I’m trying to decide how I should add the shadow...


'Purrhaps' take a long paintbrush and point it at the paws along the path of the light.  That will tell you where the shadow(s) will be and how long.
The time it (a work) takes is the time it takes.
