Thanks Nolan.   I was working from a bnw photo.  She was a very very fair skinned girl and so struggled to not have her washed out too much.  I did a final glaze with some alizarin crimson.  Any suggestions?

I would add a little more colour into the lips where they meet. The colour you have now is too grey. But please only add very thin subtle glazes at a time otherwise it will look as though she has lipstick on.

You can make the area where they actually touch darker as well. Compare on photos to see what I mean:

Thank you Dennis.  Was acting on Nolan's sggestion.  Wasn't sure if I needed to do more or had done too much.  In both of my portraits, the lips were too gray.

The top lip looks good now. The bottom lip still seems a bit grey O0
