  • SMILE, It's a brand new day!

Hello All... I joined a few days ago and I find I keep getting much information! Marvellous site. Ive decided to jump right in and have a go at drawing, and then painting the lion. (assuming he'll hold still long enough!) Seriously, my biggest challenge is getting art supplies. Not a lot readily available in the islands and to ship them in often costs more than the supplies...I muddle through. I'm never at a lack of things to paint so with a bit of luck, and lots of hard work, I'm sure...with the help of Nolan & Dennis I know I can now do this with some degree of competency. I thank you both for making this program and this site available to us all.  :yippee: :yippee:   O0
Cheers, Val

:welcome: on board.. Val  :2funny:  Sorry, couldn't resist.  I'm excited to have you here as well.  Please post pictures of your lion when you have a chance.

I'm really new at oil painting.  I am trying to follow along Nolan's course and doing some bushes for now, but I have a lion in my head that I've been wanting to paint as well so I would love to see your painting.  I am also wanting to paint a German or Russian nutcracker because I love the colours and season it represents.  I just have to wait until I develop those skills.
