I am presently in to paper crafting. It’s fascinating to combine die cuts, stamps and embossing and painting.
This mixed media collage actually started as a card for a 25 year old german colleague who is leaving the country to live and work in Turkey after falling in love with a turkish man.
During the card making process this turned out to be a small collage which I shall be presenting her after framing.
The base is cardboard with added gesso and old paper pieces. A have used a number of die cuts.

Love to hear your comments to this.

 :thankyou:so much Mea, Patricia!
I appreciate your comment. Hope she really likes this meaningful flair of this collage.
I have also discovered that I can transform my not so good paper paintings into lovely cards. Will post some examples.  :)

Here are 3 cards Patricia. I transformed some of my water colour orchid paintings since I had messed up the background. It’s so much fun to do this since you never now the end result. 😃. I like this particular stamp with the letterings very much. Not sure if I should water colour the white paper of the second painting. I could even stamp a birthday wish on the cloud...🤔
Actually these cards look somewhat special in real.

 :thankyou: Dennis, Mea, Patricia!
Here’s another simple one. Water colour paper was embossed first and the bird and frame glued on top. Then I used some acrylics for the bird.
The vibrant second one has a number of techniques. A belated valentine card😅
Making cards is something different for a while😃

There seems to be less interest in card making in the forum.

Gita,

I make all my cards these days.  Every time I have a painting that it is not perfect, I cut out the good parts and they become the cards I need for the next few occasions.
