I started off outdoors, was just going to practice sketching, but got carried away. i Don't think the form is quite right. Happy for any critiques to let me know what may be glaringly obvious.
This is just with Graphite, but I forgot to add some white to the irises & now I've rubbed too much to bring them alive, so am thinking i will dab some white pencil. Is this ok to do that?

What I often do is use one of THESE correction pens to add the highlight in the eye

Thanks Bill, Nolan & Val, I will do Mia again as I think I did too much damage to the paper - so stay tuned -

In the mean time I played with the colored pencils & practised some cliffs, clouds & water in the drawing & popped it in my mixed media folder

Really good detail Tracey. Subject to the way I am looking at it I see the top rim as the back of the glass and the lower rim as the front. I might suggest to strengthen the leading edge of the lower rim across the poured water. Hope that makes sense?

Thanks so much Bill & Cath. From a distance I thought it was 1 tree, by the time i realised there were x 2 hugging each other I just got lost in having to draw them.

Thanks so much Bill, I really appreciate your comment. I see what you mean, I couldn't work out either which rim was the front & back, but couldn't work out how to differentiate. I'll give your tip a go
