Well Tiger 02 is better, but I struggled with the lower jaw & Whiskers. I don't know how to remove the grid lines that are still showing & I think he's eyes could be a bit bigger too, along with a few other bits n bobs. Any suggestions most welcome

It seems most of my sketches/drawings have vanished from my gallery... I did find the final version in my computer archives. Just looks a bit hung over now!

The tiger looks great      As for the grid lines, I learned through trial and error a few times!     It took almost as much practice as some of my drawings, but try to keep the grid lines light to the point of just being visible. Then I make certain that my lightest lights are a shade deeper than the grid.
Have you tried lifting the lines with a very soft warm putty rubber? I have found if you try rubbing them out with a regular eraser they sometimes seem to become even more engrained in the paper.         Perhaps Nolan has some better ideas....

As far as the grid lines are concerned - I never draw them directly onto the drawing paper. I lay sheets of photocopy paper onto my drawing paper so it fills it exactly. I then stick the photocopy paper together using clear tape. I then put my sketchbook aside, flip the tiled photocopy paper over,  and grid up the photocopy paper. I can then draw scratch and erase as much as I want to without worrying about the paper getting dirty.
Once I am happy with the sketch I take another sheet of photocopy paper and a 6B pencil. I then rub over the entire sheet of paper to fill it with graphite - what I am basically creating is a sheet of carbon paper.
This is then carefully placed onto the sketchbook, graphite side down, as you would with regular carbon paper. The tiled photocopy paper with the sketch on it is placed on top of that. I then use a pen or pencil to carefully trace the outlines of my sketch onto the sketchpad leaving me with a perfectly clean sheet of drawing paper which only has the correct outlines on it and no construction lines to erase

  Aw-boy!!! You´d think I would have remembered that Nolan... I knew there was something I was doing wrong! I´m good at making extra work for myself!  Where´s that soppy old cow in my memory file  ... probably got her thumb stuck in the drawer again!
