I have a question which would apply to any medium. When painting a side view (portrait) of an animal, how would you add whiskers... or would you just put dots to suggest there are whiskers?    Anybody...

Hi Val, I would add whiskers, as they grow slightly downward.  Look at Nolan's acrylic painting of the lion.   O0

you will add the whiskers, but you need to observe carefully as you have foreshortening happening O0

Thanks MaryLou, I will do that.

Righto Nolan, foreshortening.... I was afraid you´d say that! I´ll pull out my Perfect Painting binder.  O0

:heeha: That would be amazing! Sadly through all my computer woes I did lose a lot of the program, but do have most of the printouts still. This would definitely be a course that I would gladly pay for just to have it complete again. It is still my most referred to source of information.  O0
