I know this needs tweaking, (something about the mouth. & perhaps the eyes ), but I'm not sure what, where & how. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

The drawing is well done, it is just the placing of the features that are off
When drawing portraits you will find that you need to work extra accurate as any areas where you are off tend to show.
You can either use the grid method or one of the other methods from the course to draw the outlines. Once they are in place then you know that the basics are where they need to be. From that point on you can make many mistakes and get away with them without anybody noticing O0

Thank you Nolan :) yes I can now see that overall it’s the layout that’s made it NQR, & I need to do this again & grid it up. It was fun doing this after all the linear concentration of the perspective drawing, so I went into winging it mode... Lesson learnt!,,
Should I colour in the black part of the jaw 1st & then rub out the whiskers? (For this try, I attempted scratching the whiskers & shading over that). Cheers

yes, but try not to press to hard otherwise the whiskers will not erase.
when erasing use the paper cutout trick to create a mask O0

Trace, this takes me back to my first attempt at grid drawing. I laughingly referred to him as my drunken lion  ;D

I think you have done a great job, especially since you ´winged´ it! Good for you, every time we attempt something new it builds on our past efforts and teaches us something. Keep going, every step takes you further along your road to mastery.  :cheering: :cheering: :cheering:
Cheers, Val

It seems most of my sketches/drawings have vanished from my gallery... I did find the final version in my computer archives. Just looks a bit hung over now!   :drink2drop:       :2funny:
