Welcome to the challenges section of the site.

The way the challenges work is like this:

1) You follow the free tutorial which teaches you one of the basic art concepts. Follow the first challenge tutorial HERE

2) You are then challenged to create an artwork using the concept from the tutorial.

The month the challenge is released you can enter in order to win a cool prize. Entries must be posted here by the last day of the month.

The artwork must be original and not a copy of another person's art. It can also not be a class artwork.

You can use any medium you want as long as it is tactile (physical, not digital)

You may not have entered the artwork into a previous challenge - the idea is that you will create a new artwork after following the tutorial in order to help you learn the new concept.

The prize winner will be decided by vote during the first week of the following month.

After the initial competition has been decided, the challenge will remain open for whoever wants to follow it. The challenge will then however be for the learning experience and fun only.

Will my chocolate paint/food color be considered an acceptable medium? Or would it be considered Mixed Media and is Mixed Media acceptable?

Hi Nolan. As you have only one vote, I presume you do not vote for yourself?

Legal, but is it ethical?  Each must answer to her/himself.

with so many great entries it sure is going to be hard to vote for one.
Nolan are you going to put the entries up like last time & we vote for a number?

Hey everyone, how do we get to vote? Is it done on the page where the entries are placed, as a reply?
