:thankyou: so much! It does look pretty on the stretched canvas, with the color spilling over onto the sides. I do love this Dutch Pour method, and will keep practicing it.  There are quite a lot of fine YouTube videos available, and each person has their own little tips.

I’m off tomorrow morning for a week at the monastery. I hope to come home with a small finished watercolor painting. I’m trying to build up my inventory of Susan’s Squares. How I love being retired!

Beautiful!  Looks like you blew the paints towards the periphery.

I never thought I would ever consider retirement, but I keep hearing how friends love it and how much they recommend it.  It really makes me thinking...

Have a nice week.

This one, on an 8 x 10 canvas, began its life as a Dutch pour. But I'd used too many colors and lost that nice blend of white and color. It looked awful. So instead of throwing it away, I just poured the remaining colors in my little cups onto the canvas and tilted the canvas  and blew them with a hair dryer and a metal straw. The gold paint looks shinier in person than in this photo. I think it rather resembles  a photo from the Hubble telescope. Maybe i should call it "Deep Space." I did not use any silicone in my paints.

Exactly, when I saw it I thought 'deep outer space'.   You did well with the gold.  I always sees mine sinking under other colors because of the weight of the metallic particles.

Whatever was your initial vision, this is very nice
