A while ago I played around with acrylic pouring. It is great fun :heeha:

I ended up doing 3 series of paintings using the pours.

The first were plain pours like this:

the next was a series of astronauts:

and the last was a series of flip flops (we call them Jandals in NZ). They are big (500mm long and are meant to hang on your house wall)

Nice, Nolan! You got some great cells. I’m still working on that.

OOOoooooo, what do you need to do these?  >:D        :nono: No, no... mustn´t look!   :run:
These all look such fun, especially the thongs. These would have sold very well out in the Caribbean.

there are tons of vids on Youtube for this Val O0
Just a quick warning, you quickly end up with a ton of these painting as they are so much fun and quick to make so you better have an outlet for them before you start ;D
These flip flops are hanging by my front door

Wel done Nolan.
Yes I have tried this too and had lots of fun seeing what came out. Not a fan of the cells so just did the Dutch technique which turned out OK. This is where you put on a background paint (ie white paint) then added a few colours and then the final background paint gets poured around the colours. You then use your blow dryer to blow the white paint over the colours first then blow them back again. Check it out on YouTube it's a good way to get rid of acrylic paint you don't want or need. I couldn't find Floetrol so got some paint extender from Dulux paint store.

Yes, I hear about Fluetrol all over the videos... We don't have it available here, and the equivalent is no good sub at least with the paint I used.

Thank you very much Nolan!   I will try to order it tomorrow.

I did not check further after both Home Depot and Revi/Rona (Canadian store) told me it was only available in the US.
