This painting was done with an underpainting of Acrylics then Oils and Pastels.. I know your not suppose to put anything over Oils but I did so don't tell the Oils Police!!! :2funny: I just love breaking rules!

I can see the extra detail you are getting in the hair, well done :clap: :clap: :clap:
The tip of the nose is bothering me. It should not touch the bottom of the lip, just check that.
What did you put over the oil?

Breaking the "art rules" is okay. In fact I get upset when anybody even talks about art rules. There are no rules in art, just artificial stumbling blocks that some or other mysterious / non existent, self appointed art elite have tried to put in our way of becoming better artists.
Breaking the rules of chemistry on the other hand can make your artwork self destruct later on down the line (like painting acrylic on top of oil paint or adding turps to your oil paint) so you break them at your own peril.

I'll fix the nose. I put pastels a little bit over her face. It's not for sale just an experiment.
