Hello PB artists, I have been missing in action for a long while, life getting in the way. But hope to get back into action again. Im quite excited to see the new Challenge format. Love all the entries so far and am moved to try my hand at one if possible. Still Life is a bit of an extra Challenge for me as I travel around but where theres a will theres a way 😊. Good luck all

Welcome back Win and I hope you join the challenge.

Bill your camel is great and Trace, I love how you have depicted your people , great perspective.

Here is my entry, done in watercolor on 140lb cold pressed paper.  A childhood toy among the vases.

Marylou, very nice composition and choice of colours

Gita,  thanks so either techniques (contrasting so doesn't have to be complementary) and even plash of colour as in the camel.  Ok that is a fair range of flexibility.

Win, join in.  It is a lot of fun.  I don't think you need to create traditional still life.  Pyramids and camel are more a scenery and the painting looks great.  Get something out of your suitcases and draw them  ;)
Cheers, Annie

Very interesting submissions till now!
Mary-Lou, Bill, Trace, Belma, you are inspiring me! Thanks Zyan for the compliment. I think I should remove the pic. Or should it remain for explanation purposes, Nolan?

Welcome to the challenge Belma!

The red is a very nice contrast to the monochrone.  Love the tulips composition.

I hope you enjoyed the process.

fabulous job MaryLou and Belma :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:

Regarding adding the colour to the odd item - no you do not have to glaze the colour over. You can add the colour ANY way you like. There is no restrictions on medium or technique used. O0
