Good idea Annie! Will post with your ideas. Digitally, it’s good to play around and then implement this on canvas.
Cheers, Gita

Hi Gita,
I used digital to do a simple sketch before painting my geese, but I don't think my software allows for details as I see you, and others, achieve.  It is the software of the user?  It is called Fresh Paint, came with the tablet.

For fun, here is the sketch I did.

and this was the final painting:

I like your painting Annie. I use ProCreate.

Nicely done Annie, I think that is the same program that was on my tablet. However... my attempts were not close to your results!     :2funny:
I´ll be sticking with the traditional methods  :painting:     :crazy2:     ;D

Agree Val!   But I will have a look at that ProCreate, it may be an easy way to do some sketch to put ideas on paper... tablet because doing the drawing and painting.   My rudimentary sketch of the birds helped me with the composition, although I changed a lot as I was doing sketches after sketches on paper.

ProCreate was not very intuitive in the initial phase. I remember being on a vacation and tried to work with ProCreate. My family did have a tough time with me since my mood was not very high after some hours on my IPad with ProCreate.
Later on, I watched some YouTube videos and there is a good teaching lesson in udemy.com by Brad Colbow. Over the past 3 years I still do not master it like some do, but it’s good enough.
I love drawing with ProCreate since I can zoom the area to shade.
Cheers, Gita

Thanks for the direction.  I checked ProCreate, it is an Apple Product... so no go for me.  Anyway, I should do more pencil paper sketching first.
