Creating Texture Challenge

This is the fourth of the art challenges.
If you would like to follow the challenges in order (you don't have to), then click HERE to go to the first challenge.

Follow this challenge tutorial HERE to learn all about how to add texture to your artworks.

Your challenge is to use an actual as well as a simulated texture in one painting. Your painting can be any subject under the sun as long as it has both these texture types in it.

Then return here to post your challenge entry.

All challenges are subject to the CHALLENGE RULES.

Good luck and have fun

Again, You have created a mind blowing challenge where we can get creative. Thank you for your well explained tutorial! So many ways to get texture!
Have to go to my local Bauhaus to search for a good structure paste.  :D. Eventhough, I like the transparent gel, too..
Ach Nolan, you really can keep us busy. 🤨😉😅
I missed the tutorial with „the big five“. Will watch it.

My Texture entry representing Blending, (Sky) Contouring (the beach) Splatter and using Watercolour Ground in lieu of impasto for the trees and logs. This is from a photo I took near Renmark, South Australia

Beautiful painting Bill!
And I just learn about something new 'watercolor ground'... maybe Dennis refers to it in later lessons.

Thank you Nolan for the hand-on tutorial in the introduction.   I just completed it, very good practice... and I got my idea for the painting now.
