Win,
We all know that Dennis is a fabulous teacher and that his critics and comments come with knowledge, expertise, practice, and much wisdom.

Still, there is a comment he made to me that is engrained in my forehead and which I have appreciated more and more as time goes by.  He simply advised that I post my work, weither I thought it was good or bad, and NOT to critic it myself but let others do so.  This was a sure way to get an objective critic that would help me improved my skills.  One of the best advice, which by the way I had extrapolated to other areas of my life.  And I am all the better for it.

Over the years I had postings I thought were bad but were celebrated by others; while others I thought were great... well, they were definitively not so.  I can PM you two recent ones if you don't beleive me.

The portrait of your grand-son running on the beach may not be perfect (this is just a quick challenge anyway), a bit of shadows in the face would improve it I think... but it is good and can only get better with practice.

Please give it a trial and try not to critic your work and definitively not use qualificant such as terrible.  I know it is difficult to do.

We all love seeing your work and what you, and others, come up with.

Yay... let's have fun playing!

And my Play part.I have some old cheap, Reeves goache. But I never used it so I had to try some. At the end, I really disliked it a lot, too rough and it eats my brushes I'm afraid.
I only made the little landscape and when I saw the new word for this week, I just put in the hand.
So here is my 'Play with Goache'.
