My hubby said that the Gull was too dark, so I erased & then lost all the values. Battled to get them again-hence the Blotchy bits on the abdomen, & feel that still too dark, but I think I'm starting to get a feel for refining my heavy strokes. I often don't see glaring things until on the big screen here/others comments, so I'm most happy if you would like to comment :)

not too dark at all - you need those contrasts to make the image look 3D
Here your tonal values, and everything else for that matter are spot on. I can see the sunlight shining on the bird :congrats: :cloud9:
