Great Job on the Monk Seal.  You have done a good :clap: job of painting a tough subject.  I have done Seal counts here on Molokai and that is what they look like.  Have tried to paint them many times with limited success.  You nailed it! :clap:

So you live on Molokai!  Have you hiked Kalaupapa?  Some years ago a group of us teachers from St. Joseph School did the trek of that killer trail and went to see Father Damien's little church.  We hiked on different islands every President's Day school break in February.


If you use the tracing technique Nolan showed us, you will get a perfect drawing, THEN you do your painting! 😀Liz

I like the object a lot.  ;) Two things I would consider are: more closeup on the object (like in the reference picture) and the shape of eyes.  :heeha: :gl:
