Love your pastel paintings. You are and inspiration to get out my chalks and go to work with them again. If I only could find the time.

I should be done with my dachshund by the end of this week. I'll be happy to post it. Then the painting needs to dry and I will think about next project.
Actually, I have already two ideas I want to put on wood and canvas.
Charle, I know what you mean.
I also have little time, which means that I can work one hour or less (sometimes only five minutes) each day. The secret is to keep going EACH day.
Another technique is to choose objects that are really captivating to you and they will pull you no matter what.
Could be your kids, animals, plants, architecture, religious motives, whatever you love.

I especially like the first painting, though both are lovely. The colors of the landscape and the pinkish sky are breathtaking.

Finally here:
Details
The dachshund of my friends, commissioned work. They will see it tomorrow, hope they will like it. Technical note: oil pastels on wood. When picture taken, light was from above, so the top corners are lighter than actual painting.
for all positive feedback above
... and I'm going to start new project
white canvas in front of me...

Looks great, I like the expression you have captured, the composition and colour palette.

He's gorgeous
Oil pastel art is not something I've seen often before, so I'm doubly impressed. I have a set of Caren D'arch oil pastels that I look at every now and then but haven't a clue.
