I struggled with the flesh colours. Went a step further by finishing the head dress.

Appreciate you advise Nolan.

I am happy with what you have so far Bill. Great job :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:

As you gain more experience you will be able to get the skin smoother using the glazes, but for now you can be very happy with that.
Mixing skin tones takes practice. Your skin tone is natural so wouldn't change it O0

Completed the lesson ... in a few days at the risk of ruining it, I will try to get the blending in the skin tones better.

Uploaded a better photograph, the other had a colour cast.

Hi,
You took my memories back when I had painted this picture in acrylic way back in 2017.. I am so glad we have a class for this , will definately purchase and  repaint this picture.

Thankyou Nolan.

Absolute novice here, but this lesson is allowing me to follow along and experiment with getting used to brush strokes. I don't know what each of the brushes that I do have actually do - I have 1 Filbert #4, & a few weird angles brushes.
Also Having fun mixing paint, but don't really know what it will be like until it hits the canvas - boy does it dry quickly! & I'm learning by doing lots of layers to practise the blending.
I know I should've started with a simpler lesson - but i just couldn't resist trying this - it's probably going to take me months painting this, learning about the paint, & how I need to apply it.

Bill I really love your GWPE, it's so inspiring to see how you have been precise (her eyes are sparkly great) and the highlights you have created in the painting.

Cyril, I love how you are able to create such softness, and colouring & blending. I think it's a beautiful painting.
Fingers crossed i may be able to paint like you all one day :)

:thankyou: Trace, I like the turban on yours, matched the colour good.   Yes the blending is the hard part, let us persevere.

Lovely rosy cheeks Cyril
