These 2 paintings have been painted over previous paintings.
1. Pots painted over a very textured acrylic pour that didn't work out. Painting over this was very difficult because of the crevices. Wish I had painted on a new canvas. Photo was by Denise McQuillan from the free photo site on Facebook. Everyone has loved her photo and I believe there are about 190 different versions on Facebook now.

2. Magnolia painted over my last abstract painting.
Background was done by painting on some cream house paint to cover abstract painting and before it dried I painted in some stripes of black paint. This made it look like old weathered boards. Magnolia were a combination of several photos

Well done Teresa. I follow that free photo reference page and have been following the many, many paintings of Denise McQuillan's photo of the vases. You have done a really good job painting her photo well done.

:heeha: Wow Theresa! If this is the result of overpainting your "whoopsies" paintings... I hope you have more!     :faint: Somehow that didn't come out quite right.   :flowers: Both of these are lovely, but the magnolia takes my breath away. You see old weathered boards, I see rushing water over dark rocks. No matter what the viewer persieves, it is brilliant.  O0
Cheers, Val
