Thank you for kind words!  I am just kind of hanging out in Class 1.  I can't believe how much I am learning already, dutifully doing stroke exercises.  I want to change my user name to "ham-fisted"!

I posted a thumbnail sketch.  I have a family of bluebirds on my porch and I wanted to do a time lapse of mama in flight.  I usually can get form.  But because there is no photo, I get no further.  Haven't any idea how to shade or finish.  This class is going to be great for me!!

what I would do in a situation like this is go onto Pixabay and find birds in a similar pose. That will help you get the shading correct

So, girl in fishbowl is not my concept, only my execution.  It was in a suggestion for sketches.  Is that a copyright infringement?  Thank you Nolan for posting that for me.  I think I will wait on that sketch until I finish your bird classes.

You can't copyright in idea, only an execution, so as long as you haven't copied someone else's artwork then you are fine

I said it was from a sketch suggestion when I posted to my album. When Nolan posted it here, that text didn't transfer (of course) sry, so embarrassed!
