I have ruled up this board in 1inch square blocks. I am using all my burners and nibs to see how many different effects I can get. I am doing this for two reasons. One so I have a reference of the different marks I can make and the second, to get me out of the rut I have fallen into. I have found that after being closed for so long, I had anxiety about opening the doors again. I have opened them, but truth be known I am having a really hard time with it.

That is a great test board. I am amazed at all the effect you have so far :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Are anxious about not being safe due to people walking in who may be sick, or anxious because you haven't created for a while?

I think it is a great idea to make a sample matrix.  It will be a great reference and later you can add ask you go.

Reopening is a challenge and it will likely look different.

What about a mini series of small boards on a topic... baby animals, flowers, fruits and veges, abstract?

Add little breaks to your day, music, walk around the block, a nice cup of tea.  When I get very busy, I learned that multiple 5 min breaks works better than a longer one at the end of the day when craching.

... and stay connected with us.  Big virtual hugs
Cheers, Annie

:thankyou: Annie and Nolan. It is Covid I am anxious about Nolan, it just felt really weird having the doors open after being closed for those months. I am having fun with this board and keeping busy helps.

In my studio/gallery today, I was working on a pyrography(wood burning) sample board, of 1 inch squares. I thought it would make a great pattern. What do you think?

Took me a few seconds to understand.

I love it in bedspread/bedcover.

I think it would make a lovely skirt if it could be printed as fabric?

Very clever to make it into a printable :smart:

I understand your concern fully. Just keep your distance for now O0

I know where you are coming from, Val. I have done so many pattern design courses over the last few months, I have lost count. I even bought a dot painting set to do mandalas. I think these days more than ever, being creative and in the moment, is the only way to stay grounded and sane. My mania normally hits at night.  :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
