Really loved tackling this horse, even though it was quite a challenge

I really didn’t fancy doing a traditional still life, so decided as I’m a keen walker and cyclist to draw a selection of related items. Got some bits together and then looked at my shoes and there they are. Loved drawing them but got a bit carried away and couldn’t resist using some colour, sorry.

great job Diana, well done

What I am missing is tonal value changes to show the dark values. For example the tonal value gets darker as you look into the shoe. I can see you have made it darker, but it can go a lot darker. The more contrast you have you better the looking in effect will be O0

This is your best drawing yet :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:

Tip - when copying the smg code, be careful to also copy the leading [ otherwise the picture doesn't show O0

Nice, good contrasts in this drawing and I like the roof textures as well :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:

Tip - I have merged all your Lets Draw drawings into one topic called Diana's Lets Draw Course. So you can just open that topic in future and reply to it with your new course drawings. That way all your course drawings stay together and it is easier to track your progress O0

Hi Diana, like you I'm a beginner but for what it's worth, I think you are doing fine. Seems to be a common error with us beginners that we don't go dark enough in some areas. Your pictures are great
