Thanks Nolan I will do that. Funny how obvious that is once it's pointed out.

OK, I have taken your advice and increased the shading on his back and a couple of other areas I thought may be I should. I think it looks better. Shame I loaded him in upside down though!
Can't see how to rotate him though. Part bat part squirrel maybe  :yippee:

Struggled a bit with Horse's Head. I find drawing so much harder than shading. Took me about 2 and half hours to draw the outline using the grid, I find it difficult to get the lines in the right place even with the grid, still all good practice. Anyway here is my finished effort.

Hi Dave! I definitely think you need to update your username, Badart isn’t right at all! That’s an awesome horse drawing - I didn’t gris mine and the proportions were a bit weird so props to you for taking the time and getting it so accurate. Lesson to myself on the difference grids can make!

You have done a great job Dave, well done :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:

Good on you for taking the time to grid the drawing, it always shows in the accuracy of the final drawing so worth the time spent O0

You can darken up the shadow cast by the face on the neck directly under the face, this will make the head protrude forward giving a better 3D effect O0

Hi and thank you both for such nice comments, I'll definitely add some extra shading, not sure about changing user name just yet though, ha ha.

Hi everyone and greetings from a wet cold and windy UK.  This is my attempt at the tigers head, I'm pretty happy with it, but any suggestions on how it could be improved are always welcome. Your original seems to my eye to have some white in it. I only have shades of grey/black, should I get some white pencils as well? Any particular brand you can recommend.

There are no whites used in the original, only pencil as far I know. Dennis drew it so could maybe confirm.
You are doing great :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:

Keep working on getting the full range of tonal values into your drawings. The more tonal values, then more depth and dimension will appear O0
