QUESTION
Nolan, the purple you used in the sky was of a very different value than the one I see in the photo (or so I think anyway).  Could you have used a purple with a bit of white instead?  Or do we need to stick to the color wheel (primary plus secondary) we create with the primaries?  I am not clear about adding accent colors, anything we want?   Maybe over thinking... thanks.
Cheers, Annie

I should have adjusted it and is what I normally would do. But for the exercise I wanted to show the "true" way of using only the primaries. (As I used a spot colour anyway I may as well have adjusted the purple :D )

OK, then free for all!   I can use what I want as long as I mixed my dots in various proportion.   Thanks.

absolutely, go ahead and mix the correct colours you need then apply them to the canvas using stippling to get your pointillist painting O0 :gl:

This is NOT my entry, a preliminary test piece done with coloured marker pens on plain paper.
Comments and critique please.

Bill, I'm thinking some dots need to be closer together, never having done this before, so just my thought.

Here is my attempt and entry.  This is the second painting I did, the first one, my dots were too big.  This is watercolor and I used a small brush and just dabbed.  I used only primary colors.

You are doing great Bill. Add more dots, there is still too much white space O0
