What a difference!  The waves look very natural now.   Great job with all your oil paintings

Can anyone tell me the right mixture of medium with oil paint. I am new to oil painting but cannot get my painting to dry.
 Thanks Carol

In general you can just add a drop of two in order to let the medium speed up the drying process as the paint out the tube is already a good consistency.
If however it is too thick then a mayonnaise consistency is usually a good estimate for general painting.
For finer detail / hair or signing your name you can add more until you get to the consistency of cooking oil
For very long lines you can thin the paint to the consistency of ink.
