How would you market your art so it's seen as an investment and not just a pretty picture bought because it matches the colour of the buyer's lounge suite?

I haven't figured that out yet, :smart: but am aiming towards that goal.

The big secret to becoming a blue chip artist is market your name and develop a distinctive style of painting, so when people talk about your paintings they say "I saw a great Kelley / Nolan / Picasso yesterday"

Figuring out my style will be a delight. I am experimenting with techniques and eventually I will find one that I can master.  I appreciate you very much Nolan.  Thank you.

 Is style something you create...or is it something that developes over time?

Let's put it another way. You develop style over time by the type of work you are creating.
