Miss the Christmas wishes but wish you and yours all the best for 2021.
Wonderful painting!
Retirement, would you recommended it? Hard to know when to stop.

Annie, I actually retired from Engineering beginning of 1994 at age of 60 and went full time teaching art. It almost a year now since completely handing over to Nolan. 26 years after my first
retirement I finally went into full time retirement
and I love it. There is only one problem: Nolan has to every now and then tap my hand to remind me that I have actually retired
. He looks after me very well

Hi Dennis,
Fully agree with you, retirement is not the lack of work or studies, it is a freer choice to do the work or studies with limited responsibilities to others and hopefully without having to factor financial consideration into the decision. I am following your path, after 40 y in phase 1, I am starting phase 2. With the next 25 y for maths, painting, knitting, and gardening. I haven't decide on phase 3 yet, lots of time (I hope).
p.s. Happy to hear Nolan is good to you

Yesterday I painted this 9" x 12" South African scene in oils. It is from a photo I took many years ago while driving through the Southern Free State. Beautiful countryside.
