Hi everyone,
Belated Happy New Year.
I know that 2020 was tough for so many people and I am blessed really to live where I do. We have not really had any major affects from COVID.
However, I had a very nasty fall, on my birthday no less, on the 5th of December!
I tripped over a ramp that we have in place for my husband, who a lot of you will know is blind.
I put my hand right arm out when I felt myself falling and really did a great job of fracturing my right upper arm in 3 plus places!
Had to be my right arm!
So it’s now six weeks down the track but it will take about 12 months for them all to heal, all being well.
It’s been so very difficult I can tell you, especially as Alan cannot care for himself and up until this week, I couldn’t even look after myself.
I will never, ever again take for granted the little things in life like; being able to go to the loo by myself!; being able to shower and dress myself; being able to eat and write my name without help; being able to sleep on my side, being able to drive and a whole lot more!
The most heart breaking thing is that I will not be able to pick up our darling little grandson until at least the 5th of June! I was supposed to be looking after him whilst his mum goes back to work in a few months. :'(
I have missed painting so much and all of you.
I have become quite proficient at typing one handed!
I hope everyone else has had a great start to 2021.
XX 😘 Terri

OUCH!   Sorry about your fall and arm.    :flowers:  I wish you a speedy recovery.  I can understand how you feel about your grandson.  Ours turned one last Wednesday and I think we have been with him less than 10 times since his birth due to the pandemic.  We are usually so involved with our grandkids.  I know you cant wait until June.

I am sure you will be back to painting soon.  :painting: !!  Take care of yourself.

So sorry to hear this Terri. I haven´t been around much of late, dealing with unpleasant happenings back up north. Very difficult when far away.I hope you will heal quickly and be back at your easel soon.  :-*

Hi Terri, I am so sorry to hear from you accident, it sounds just aweful. Being not able to do the littlest thing yourself, does make you hummble for all those things that we take for granted. Take good care of yourself, and stay possitive...you might learn to draw lwfthanded quite well as I did a few years ago. I wish you a good recovery, take your time, don't rush.Hugs, Riya
