Hello my PB friends.

I took a very long break from any form of art. I am happy to get back to it along with my grand daughters ages 9, 11, and 13. They are wanting to learn to draw and I can’t think of a better way to teach them than sharing what I’ve learned in the Let’s Draw Course.
I want to start them from the beginning. I need to teach them how to to make chisel point pencils. A craft knife could be quite a disaster in young hands.
I have a KUM pencil sharpener. It is a two step process. First the sharpener strips the wood leaving a long unshaped lead. The second sharpener creates the point. So I used step one to remove the wood and then created the chisel with sand paper. So cool.

I just thought I’d pass on the idea if you’ve never tried it.
