I thought I’ve done a Renoir copy, Monet copy, so what the heck, I’ll try Van Gogh! It’s not easy to do the fine details so it’s my version.  I learned that Vincent Van Gogh was also a minister for a short time, following his father and grandfather.  Some say in this painting Jesus is speaking to his disciples and a donkey with a rider could be Jesus riding into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday.
Happy painting, everyone!

Beautiful painting Liz O0
The moment you find yourself mostly satisfied with a painting and think you'll "just quickly" do this or that, that's the moment to stop completely. Take the painting off your easel and put it aside for at least 24 hours, then reassess whether it really needs that tweak.

Well done     Just check the two yellow lines. They are not in the correct perspective. Check against the van Gogh painting  O0

:thankyou: Pat, Dennis for your comments.  You’re right Dennis, there should be a slight convergence of the lines in the distance. I guess those cobblestones threw me off. ~Liz

DENNIS- I reworked the yellow lines ever so slightly. Does it show some perspective now? I really appreciate you pointing out important details like this so I can improve my work.

Hi Dennis,
Thank you. It does look better so I will move the left line over closer to the right one as you have indicated. Can’t do much more. -Liz
