New Baby in our Family

Little Hawaiian baby only 1 day old.  Yes, I’m his great-grandmother!!!  It must be warm since he just has a light cotton blanket.  His name is Konale, born yesterday.  His full first name is Konaleikalanika’a which tells the story of a bright moon in a still night in the changing heavens.  My eldest daughter’s interpretation was ‘Our little peaceful guy amidst a crazy changing world’; she is his grand aunt.  I hope he’s never asked to write his full name in kindergarten!!! Isn’t he handsome?!

  Dear Val!  Baby is growing by the hour with long limbs, big hands and fingers.  My son thinks he’ll play volleyball like his dad, but I think he’ll be a basketball star as his mom who played in high school and coached girls’ basketball!    ~Liz

They do grow quickly don´t they? Enjoy him before he starts outdistancing you, amazing how quick they can be once they get moving!
