I'm not quite back here yet.... been doing a bit suck as building a worktable and a box for my easel (every free standing easel should have one imo....) with the intention of stretching my own canvasses and making my own frames....

This fellow I started a while back.. more or less mapped out a greyscale.. It's my fifth attempt at acrylics and my first at painting a "Fantasic Beast" though I have done a Kingfisher in Oils previously... The background went through a few changes til I settled for this,,,, I think the Contrast sets the dog off better,,, I worked from 3 diferent reference images,,, in none of them did the subject look alike... so it has been a challenge!
