Followed the lesson as close as I could, never seem to match Nolan's colours,  it doesn't really matter though. A good lesson for me to get looser.

I saw this lesson was in a loose style and thought it would be a good fit for watercolor as well.  Loved the lesson Nolan,  Your explanation of light hitting petals and explanation of foreshortening was a good refresher for me. I did get a bit turned around doing this in watercolor as there were adjustments.  So here is the result done in watercolor.

Really cool that you were brave enough to tackle this in a different medium, but the principles remain the same O0

You have done a great job, especially on the glass :smitten:

I would like to more contrast in the flowers though as they point away from the light. In other words add more dark flowers so the light ones can stand out better O0

Well, since I did the flowers loose, I did have a bit of a problem creating those light petals.  I do understand the concept, just had a bit of difficulty applying it.  I did darken some of the petals, but not sure it created enough of a contrast..should I go darker?
