Boat at Sunset

A friend let me use her oils for this, first time for me, I am not keen on the smell but enjoyed the 'feel'. I realise there are water soluble oils but I am reluctant to branch into those as I have invested so much into watercolour (which I am neglecting) and Acrylics.
It is in a standard size frame so cropped. Only after I realised I hadn't taken a photo.

Both paintings look great.
Bill your painting puts me in mind of a cooler fall hazy day, while Nolan´s is more of a hot sizzling day. Having experienced both types of days many times at sea, I think both are very well done. Both really captured the moment and show the variance of feeling a change in colour can make.
Brilliant!!!

In a case like this colours aren't important. You could even use purple and it will look good

I am actually very bad at signing my artworks as I paint them - I tend to forget

In a few years, you won't know which ones are done and which ones are not. Funny, but was it you or Dennis who said signing means 'done'? Now, I hope I did not hear that somewhere else
