Textured King fisher

Hi Nolan,
NZ Selleys don't ship to Australia.
Permafilla is not available here. I have tried what I think (and advised by salespeople) are equivalent but no good.
I am using Liquitex modelling paste but it is too sticky.
Any Ideas?

Hi Bill, long time - no see, good to see your great paintings again.
When I did the Texture & Painting techniques Tutorial, I bought Earls All purpose Multifil from Bunnings. It stuck the sticks fine, but was very crumbly to use.
The stuff Nolan used for the Kingfisher looked so smooth & buttery- if you get a heads up on something like that I’d be interested to hear also 😊

Thanks Trace, I'll check that out. I have just used 'Plaster of Paris', dries pretty quick but doing the job so far.

Unfortunately it may cost buying a few different brands to find a good one initially.
What I did when I got here was just break the seal and open the tub to test the product.

I would start by testing the Polyfilla as I have used them before. Hopefully it is still the same recipe

This done with Plaster of Paris.
A difficult operation to get the molding correct. I'll do it again (different subject) in the near future.
