Dennis, if the ink gets 'washed out' looking, is it possible to redraw the ink on top... or would that spoil the effect?  ???

Val, it's no problem going over the lines again with ink - you're supposed to see the ink lines in this type of painting.
This style, if executed properly, gives a very fresh and novel type of painting. It is also used a lot in book illustrations - specially children's books.
