I did a few oil painting (which I'll post soon). But question is...I had done a few on boards about 3 months ago. They are as tacky as they were after the first day or so. I can leave my finger print in the glossyness.
Pretty disappointing because I did a decent job on them too. I'm afraid they may never every dry. I bought some cheap gesso and it dried pretty glossy. I did sand with fine grit but still...it's slick. Probaby the reason, but still....would they dry eventually? It's still the linseed oil even though it MAY not be adhering to the gesso. I would think that regardless, it would finally dry. I sure hope so. If it doesn't it's going eventually collect fuzz, dog hair (yes, two dogs here).
