Here is the bowl thingy I tried to paint along tonight. I lost connection and could not reconnect again.
My bowl is not lifted from the table and looks unnatural (the bottom foot part) I will have to wait for the replay to fix it and also add the peppercorns.

My mix thingy looks, really really odd  :2funny:

I think it looks pretty good and accurate. I should know because I used to sell these things to pharmacists and chemists.
Those thingies are called "mortar and pestle".
I wish my hand was as steady as yours so I could paint with that precision. Someone called my work free flowing and it is because my hand shakes when I try to be precise. I guess that's what happens when you get old.

Good job Maryna, look forward to seeing the final version.
I have a wooden mortar & pestle that I use for blending fresh spices. Wouldn't be without it.

You were brave to paint along with the live session!
Your painting looks good.  Are there any changes you intend to make?

Topdog, not sure, will have to watch the replay, but I think the foot needs work and that mix stick thing (the top)  ;)

I honestly have to say, don't think I will paint along again while the class was on, was great, but I missed allot for I at times took longer at one section and then missed what Nolan was doing. Think that is also why my bottom (foot) part don't look right.

Anyway, great fun. I had such a mess afterwards,  :2funny: and used soooo many brushes.

Maryna you did very well to do the paint-a-long    Lovely bowl. Unfortunately ou have made a very common mistake and that is to draw the foot-piece as a flat line.

Many draw it that way because they are thinking at it as sitting on a flat table. You are looking slightly downwards towards the table and the bowl must have a rounding to the bottom line.

Make it the same as the bottom rounding of the bowl itself and it will automatically look right.

Maryna,   :congrats:  for attempting to paint along!

I'm amazed at what a nice job you did of blending the drapery at the back!  It's awesome!  I was wishing I could be looking over your shoulder as you painted along.

Nice job!  There's nothing there you can't perfect.

Wow! You've produced a very good picture!   Nolan's guidance tutorial is awesome when Artists can do paintings like this. Well done.  O0
